Join the Center for Democracy & Technology on Tuesday, September 6, for the presentation of the paper “Content Responsibility, a Looming Cloud for Internet Intermediaries”, by Dr. Monica Horten, Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics & Political Science.

The paper investigates the liability of internet intermediaries for content in the context of the European Commission’s Digital Single Market initiative. It reviews a range of policy proposals and self-regulatory/voluntary measures in the light of European jurisprudence and current legal framework. It assesses the risk and likely impact some of these proposals will have on fundamental rights, notably free expression and digital innovation and entrepreneurship in the European Union.

Following Dr. Horten’s presentation, we will have comments and open Q&A with:

Drinks and coffee will be provided.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP to Jens-Henrik Jeppesen and Jorge Castro.
