B92 Back on the Net
On May 11, the free voices of B92, Yugoslavia's most popular independent broadcaster, were heard again on a NEW web site http://www.freeb92.net, for the first time since the April 2 government ban. FreeB92, launched by the Amsterdam support group HelpB92, is published by the B92 team of journalists and associates, working from locations around the world. The aim of Free B92 is to preserve the spirit of professionalism that has been stripped from everyday communication in Yugoslavia through the Belgrade regime's banning and takeover of Radio B92 and other independent voices. The site includes an audio feed, written reports on media repression and the war in Kosovo and Yugoslavia, and links to B92's projects and partners.
