Eric Gunther is entering his junior year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an Electrical Engineering / Computer Science major. He learned about CDT through Hal Abelson's MIT course entitled Ethics and Law on the Electronic Frontier and joins us for the summer through the MIT Washington Summer Internship Program, a program designed to introduce engineering and science majors to the public policy arena.
Eric's work this summer has focused on digital signatures, certificate authorities, and peering agreements.
In addition to his interests in electrical engineering, computer science, and protecting democracy and civil liberties on the Internet, Eric plays piano, bass guitar, and sings. Eric enjoys composing music as well as writing poetry in his spare time. He hopes to apply his technical education to the field of law, whether it be through patent law or technological policy-making.
