JOB OPENING: Director of Communications
The Center for Democracy and Technology is seeking a Director of Communications to develop and manage CDT's outward-facing messaging. The job offers an exciting opportunity to participate in shaping public policy on key questions of the digital age.
CDT is a non-profit public interest group, based in Washington DC, dedicated to promoting democratic values for the new digital media. CDT is one of the world’s premier Internet and civil liberties advocacy organizations, working at the cutting edge of online policy issues concerning privacy and security, free expression, government surveillance and national security, digital copyright, and international ICT policy. THE POSITION: The primary responsibilities of the Director of Communications will be to:
QUALIFICATIONS: The Director of Communications is a mid-level position, intended for a motivated, highly skilled professional with 5-10 years experience in journalism or public relations. An ideal candidate would have the following characteristics:
