Recent Surveys show that Net users #1 concern is privacy. Yet a Federal Trade Commission report to Congress shows that business is not taking privacy seriously.

The US Department of Commerce has recently released a Privacy Elements Paper. They requested comments from advocates, industry and the general public. Comments were due by July 6, 1998.

The Department of Commerce has made your comments publicly available at the National Telecommunications and Information Andministration Web site.
