Portia Wenze-Danley joined the Center for Democracy and Technology in January 2009 as the new Director for Administration. Mrs. Wenze-Danley is a senior administrative operations professional with over 13 years diverse experience in organizational management including leading a historic green building renovation and LEED certification process. She is responsible for CDT's general office administration, human resources, facilities management, and systems administration.

Prior to CDT, Mrs. Wenze-Danley was the lead staff person directing the multimillion-dollar rebuilding to ADA and green specifications of the Friends Committee on National Legislation's office building on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Before coming to FCNL, she was the Human Resources Specialist for Howard University Physicians, Inc. and a Meetings Coordinator with the Association of American Medical Colleges. Mrs. Wenze-Danley lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Terrell "Chef Tee" Danley, who is Chef/Owner of Crème Café and Lounge Restaurant in Washington and consultant with several other restaurants including Station 9, also in Washington. She is the mother of 11-year old Nina.
