Fred Epstein is the President of Sage Consultants, LLC, a company that works with progressive non-profits on management and governance issues. Prior to his position with Sage Consultants, Mr. Epstein was CEO and owner of INDEECO.
An active community volunteer in the St. Louis region for over 40 years, Mr. Epstein has devoted himself to various causes, including workplace child care, school desegregation, healthcare, and labor relations. Mr. Epstein was a National Board member of the ACLU, and Past President of the Eastern Missouri ACLU affiliate. Additionally, he is Past Chairman and charter trustee for Citizens for Modern Transit, a grass roots organization that helped bring a new light rail system to St. Louis. Mr. Epstein was an advisor on labor and industrial relations in the transition team of Governor Mel Carnahan.
A lecturer on engineering, mass transit, civil liberties and labor-management relations, Mr. Epstein holds a B.S. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
