Government Identity

The federal government has several ID card programs underway. At the same time, states have been redesigning their driver's licenses.  If improperly designed and implemented, these initiatives could facilitate undue government and private sector tracking of individuals.  CDT advocates for technical and legal safeguards for ID information.
