Judges Question Extension of CALEA to the Internet - Judges today expressed skepticism about the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to extend wiretap design mandates to broadband Internet access services, as a federal appeals court heard oral arguments on a challenge brought by CDT and a diverse coalition of universities, companies and civil liberties organizations.
