Court Issues $4 Million Judgement In Seismic Spyware Case - A federal court has ordered a halt to a business that deceptively downloaded software onto people's computers, ordering the owners of the operation to turn over more than $4 million in ill-gotten gains. CDT filed a complaint with the FTC about the company, Seismic Entertainment Productions Inc., in 2004. The FTC acknowledged CDT for its help in the case. The FTC also announced that it had obtained a preliminary injunction against another spyware distributor, Odysseus Marketing, named in a CDT complaint. May 04, 2006
