President Signs Copyright Package - The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005, which includes tough new penalties for using camcorders in movie theaters and for posting copyrighted works on the Internet before their commercial release, was signed into law today. CDT believes the legislation may help strengthen enforcement against certain types of copyright infringement, while appropriately targeting bad behavior rather than specific technologies.
