Feds Propose New Rules for Online Political Activity - The Federal Election Commission today released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing regulations for political activity online. The proposed rules would subject paid advertisements to campaign finance rules. Blogging, distribution of banner ads, and linking would generally not be considered contributions. March 24, 2005
