CDT Supports ICANN Model, Calls for Reform, as Senate Holds Hearing - In comments to the Senate Commerce Committee as it plans an oversight hearing on ICANN, CDT supported the ICANN non-governmental model of coordination for key Internet naming and numbering functions, but called for continuing reform at ICANN. Improvements within ICANN have taken on greater urgency given the new attention to Internet governance within the UN and global community. September 29, 2004
