CDT Comments on New Copyright Inducement Draft - CDT submitted comments today on a Copyright Office draft bill designed to target those who "induce" others to commit copyright infringement. CDT expressed concerns that the draft does not meet the goal, set by key Senate supporters of such a measure, to create a narrow inducement provision. As drafted, the bill would threaten technologies and services that provide consumers with valuable opportunities to speak and to access information online. September 03, 2004
