US Takes Action Against Online Fraudsters - The US Dept. of Justice, FTC and other agencies announced an international crackdown on phishing, Nigerian "419" and other fraud schemes that have become commonplace on the Internet. CDT has urged federal agencies to take this kind of action, but stresses that further large scale investigations will be necessary if current law is to actually serve as a deterrent to online fraud.
