FEC Rulings Protect Blogs from Campaign Finance Regulations - In two important rulings announced this week, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) made clear that blogging about political issues is not regulated by federal campaign finance laws, even if a blog supports an individual candidate for office. In one ruling, the FEC declared that the well-known DailyKos blog is covered by an exemption for media entities, and thus is not subject to the regulations.
