Senate Passes Open Government Act - The Senate last week approved legislation to strengthen the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Introduced by Sens. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and John Cornyn (R-TX), the Open Government Act would increase agency responsiveness to FOIA requests and improve accountability of executive branch agencies.
