Bill Seeks Public Web Access to Congressional Reports - Before Congress adjourned, Members of the House, led by Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT), introduced a bill to give the public online access to reports of the Congressional Research Service. The CRS produces hundreds of balanced, unclassified reports on public policy issues. They are available online to Members of Congress, but are available to members of the public only by mail through a request to a Member of Congress. CDT has long urged that these documents be available online to the public. December 02, 2003
